Who is Wounded Wolf?

My photo
The Redneck Gypsy
Hinesville, GA, United States
Someone who sees. I am an artist and I specialize in mixed media, and paint on found objects, recycled, or repurposed objects, fallen limbs from trees, wood panels, furniture and canvas. I also sculpt, make bead-work, and traditional style native american handcrafts. My artistic focus is on environmentalism, social equality, and positive life affirmation. I honor both my Cherokee heritage, and my American values as a man of faith. I am a self taught artist and have been painting and doing craft work my whole life. I grew up in Hinesville and have come home from California to Re-discover the South. I am a USAF vet who served in Desert Shield in 1994-98 and use my art as both therapy for myself and to inspire others to create things of beauty from the discarded and lost that we a see all around us.

Ijigotiha

Ijigotiha is a Cherokee Word.

“ijigotiha” is normally taken to mean “You all see it”. But it also has the alternate meanings of “He sees you all” and “He and I see you all”, which must be determined from either tone or context or both. The thing about “iji-” which is constant is a minimum quantity of 4 “actors” are being talked about. So, trying to say “iji-” means “he + you all” or “he and I + you all” or “you all + it” is incorrect. It represents a grouping of “actors” and their relationships with each other simultaneously which does not translate into English.

We all see what is wrong.

This project is dedicated to the concept of paying it forward. A way to show Gratitude for those that make up the tribes of man.

Let us use the Magic of "What if?".

What if I gave you the shirt off my back, and you gave me the shirt off your back? We'd both have shirts.
What if you gave me the food off your plate, and I gave you the food off mine? We would both eat.
What if we spent our time teaching one another all that we know? Then we would have all the teaching there is.
What if we take all the good that we have learned from our mistakes, and used that good to heal the world?
We would again live on a good earth.

Mutual responsibility is as simple as taking off your shirt.

If you cannot see there is not enough light.
If you do not posess a light, make one.
If your light goes out, seek someone elses light.

You must be able to see, or you go nowhere...
Ijigotha

This is what I see.
A good tribe.
let me show you.
You show me your good tribe.
Together we will see a Good Earth.
